Settings
Central Kitchens are utilized by some school districts and are a centralized location where all meals are prepared for the entire district. The meals are then packaged and sent to the schools (sites) to served.
Central Kitchen Settings is where users can designate which Inventory items are prepared in-house so that when the items are ordered by a site and the Central Kitchen does not have enough on hand to satisfy the order.
NOTE: Users will need security access to Orders before Central Kitchen menu options display in Meals Plus.
- These prepared in-house items will not be put on a backorder for ordering.
- These prepared in-house items will be put on an open receipt at the Central Kitchen so the Central Kitchen knows what they need to prepare, and once prepared, can be received into inventory.
FILTER BY
- Select a created bid group or ALL bid groups from the Bid Group dropdown list.
- Select a created item group or ALL item groups from the Item Group dropdown list.
SEARCH BY
- Search by Prepared In-house (brings checked items to the top), Item Code or Description by clicking the header, entering the value you want to search in the text field and clicking Enter on your keyboard.
- Click the Prepared In-house box in the row of any items that are prepared in-house at the Central Kitchen.
- You can click the box next to Prepared In-house in the header to ‘Check All’.
- Click Save.
